Our student reserach team iGEM NAWI Graz 2019 envisioned, outlined and tested a potential approach to measure the concentration of American foulbrood spores in a liquid with a phage-covered biosensor and demonstrate the proof of concept. The Beeosensor could be used as an early warning tool, when the disease is still in a managable stadium.
